Does anyone know how you go about getting a certification from AAM? I have never heard of it. And now I am thinking about moving North. And i saw that in Mass., Maine and I think New Jersey. You need it. Any info would be helpful. Email me at [email removed]> Thanks
about AAM certification

Massachusetts regulations are per town, not the whole state. Check with the local health department for a draft of the regs that you're thinking of relocating to. AAM- American Academy of Micropigmentation, I believe has more to do with permenant cosmetics than regular straight up tattooing. I've never been in a situation that I needed to be AAM certified, and I've worked in MA and CT. I may look into it just because it never hurts to know a little more.
Thanks for the info. So you think if I get a job or want to open my own shop. You don't think I have anything to worry about? again any info is helpful thanks.
Like I said, it depends on the town, you can get a draft of the health department regulations for free from whatever town you're looking into and check from there. Good Luck
Tats are considered permanent make-up that is why you have to be aam certified.
