Age Limit

Since Tattoo Shops usually are the host of Piercing Parlors, I figured i would pose this question here. Does anyone know what the legal age to get your nose pierced in Maryland is? I know anything "intimate" is 18, but what about other piercings? I also know each shot will have it's own rules, but i want the blanket law. My sister wants it done, and she is turning 14 in April, so i wanted to see if i could give it as a b-day gift. (just in case anyone wanted to know why i was asking). Thanks! -Ducky

Not 100% but I believe that any non intimate piercing there is legal at the age of 14 with written permission by an accompanying parent who must have proof of guardianship i.e. birth certificate etc..Taz

I would find a shop that has a piercer that is a member of the APP in your area and ask them what their policies are. They would really be the ones to direct those questions to because on a public internet forum, you can really get a lot of bad or outright wrong information.
