Amputated Angel Wing tattoo design

Hi, my name is Rob and have been working in Afghanistan for the last year, and am actually still here for at least for another 6 months. Back in May I got blown up by a suicide bomber and my friend in the back seat of my truck I was driving got killed. So I am trying to find a design for a tattoo to remember that day. I have not seen the tattoo I thought up anywhere, and was wondering if you could come up with something. What I am looking for is a variant of the "angel wings" that seem to be pretty popular. What I am looking for it a tattoo that is the angel wing coming out (ripping) of the back, but the wing itself is "amputated", with maybe a little blood and a feather or two. Its my version of the Fallen Angel. The best example I can give is from the movie Constantine when the angel Gabrielle loses her wings (or something like that). Any thoughts? sorry for your loss. I've heard of this tattoo before but i've never seen. I'm sure a custom artist would have no trouble drawing it up tho good luck

OH yeah I remember that part of the movie , it was more like a severed bone look with some feathers sorta clinging to the flesh or whatever . I personallly feel something like that is gonna be pretty hard to capture but it'd be very interesting to see the final picture.

Guess that didn't help your plight much sorry lol. Um I'd say look through the artists' galleries on this page and others. Till you've found an artist that your'e just fucking ecstatic about. Drop em a line and explain your idea. It is a pretty damn unique design from what I understand and you shouldn't have much problems finding someone that'll jump on it for you. best of luck

Yeah, a good custom artsit would ROCK that tattoo out. Dunno anyone in alabama, but Benjamin Moss in Seattle would kick ass at this. I see Jeff Gouge in Oregon kicking ass with it too.
