I am a forty eight year old male who two weeks ago got a black tattoo on the inside of my bicep. ( my first tattoo ) What originally looked like a bruise around the tattoo is still there and now looks like a shadow around it, almost like a little of the ink has spread from the tattoo itself.
Is it possible that this will go away with more time? If not, does this every happen and if it is some type of permanent stain around the tattoo is there anything that can be done to correct it?
Thanks for any advice.
any help greatly appreciated

Sometimes if an artist doesnt angle his needle just right, his line will become 'blown out'. It causes ink to shoot under the skin more often than not outside of the lines of the tattoo.
Your body will absorb some of the excess ink if this is the case but its hard to say how much without seeing the tattoo. If not, its possible to get a light grey tattooed above the area to cover the blow out. OR it may be a little bruised. Everyone has a different reaction so its a little hard to judge.
Hope this helped

I agrre with Mario as usual...without seeing it ( can ya e-mail me a pic?)...without seeing it there is no way to be sure but it does sound like a blowout...the only remedy for which is relining or shading over the problem area...I would suggest talking to your original artist about this problem...TAz
