apprenticeship?

Here in the u.k apprenticeships are really hard to come by. Im 27 and its taken me years to find a shop just to show me how to tattoo, which i have to work around a full time job! My point theres not enough help out there and why? Theres shops I ve had tatts done at and I know Im better than them now! So why so hard on us new starters? you had to start some where.
