Apprenticeship.

Hello all, I just received an apprenticeship at a local tattoo shop, This shop hasn't had the best of luck with past apprentices and I would really like to make a lasting impact. I AM going to last, and I AM going to work hard, but are there any veterans who have pointers, not only in what you would like to see in your apprentice, but also what you would like to see in a portfolio? what shop in colorado you in? lots of good ones around here but lots of bad ones.

just know that you're probably going to be given a hard time, all the time. hazing, pranks, jokes, bad nick names...but in time you'll get better and EARN respect. just don't let any of it get to you. also, when you get going and do a few good tattoos, don't get a big head...because that's when your big bubble will get popped, and boy is it loud and painful.
