Arm Band Tattoo Bruise

7 messages · last activity 4/30/2008

I got a tribal arm band on January 5th. It is healed over fine, but around the outside edge of the tat, it is bruised. It is almost 8 weeks now and still the bruising won't go away. I have tried Icing it but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas on why it is taking so long for the bruising to go away? Is it something the tattooer did? Or am I doing something wrong....
it is normal for the inner upper arm to bruise. i have never heard of a bruise from a tattoo lasting anywhere near that long. are you sure it is a bruise? i have seen blow outs look similar to bruises. let your artist look at it and get his opinion.
Tribal arm bands are extremely gay. Just for getting one, you deserve any prolonged bruising you got fruitcake.
I call tribal Armbands a little bit of that Mid 90's, I got mine before I knew any better. http://www.shineharder.com

you will soon be the tattoo lady
There is a chance it might not be bruising, but hyperinjection. I don't know much about it, but I do know that it looks like bruising. I believe it has something to do with the artist going too deep with his needle or in the wrong direction or something like that, don't quote me on that though. Deffinitally go to your artist, and if he doesn't know what it is, maybe find another studio with a more experienced artist who could tell you.
