avoiding a "blob"

2 messages · last activity 11/12/2007

i am planning my next tattoo to be flowers growing up my rib cage. i want it to very detailed, i want the flowers to look real almost like a photograph. but i know as tattoos age, lines and definitions depreciate, and i dont want it to look like a huge blob in 10 years. should i just opt for a simpler design? how can i avoid this?
If you will get it to be big then it will hold the detail that much better. It will look like a blob if you get it the size of a coin, but if a flower is like the size of a cd (of course depending what size your body is etc), then a good artist will make it look good. So it wont look like a blob in 10years :) Where are you from?
