does anyone know what a black shamrock tatto means?
ive read that some all black shamrocks are associated with racist/facist organizations. now whether that is true or not i cant say for sure but i think it would look sweet and im not a racist/facist so i dont know.
a black shamrock is used to protest at Irish involvement in the Iraq war & the violation of Irish neutrality, which is part of the Irish Constitution & fought for by our predecessors. I'd not heard of it as a racist motif before.
they're also used by some irish people to cover up crappy tattoos from the past. :):):)
LOL,,, just fell out of my chair
Still laughing ; )
The Black Shamrock symbolises our mourning for all those who died as a result of Irish collaboration in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, for which the airports at Shannon, Aldergrove and Baldonnel have become pit-stops. It also symbolises our mourning for the loss of Irish Neutrality.... The Black Shamrock is also, of course, a symbol of resistance. In wearing it, all of those who do declare their opposition to any Irish involvement, be it economic, strategic or logistical, in the unjust and illegal wars.
I've also seen this represented in the Aryan Brotherhood (AB). It was on some prison gang t.v. special not to long ago.
the black shamrock only recently became a protest icon for the irish presence in Iraq ~ it's been associated with the Irish Mob, and also referenced with Black Irish. Slainte!
In America the Black Shamrock represents the Order of the Black Shamrock. Which is a group that represents Police Officers, Soldiers, and anyone representing the warrior ethos.
it means dont forget who u are or where u came from...
