Bloodeborne Pathogens (another view)

We ALWAYS hear discussions on this but it seems they are 99% 1 sided. Truth be told.....Its the TATTOOIST who is at by far the greatest risk. Think about it. Your first tattoo. You have been poked a million times or more. The only exposed blood is yours. You get pricked again.....big deal. NOW.....If its the ARTIST who slips....and pricks himself???????? If this guy averages only two tattoos a day that's 730 chances for an infection a year. My Only point is to Take this into consideration when wondering if a shop is SAFE! MY biggest concern is for MY safety. What more incentive IS there for keeping a clean and safe environment? You are there for maybe an hour or 4 We are there ALL the time. If you are shying away from tattoos for this reason......hope this helps. For one of the BEST pieces I've seen on Viral infections and tattooing....check out: http://tattooz.net/default.cfm?SiteMenu=Editorial&Department=Articles&ArticleMenu=ShowArticle&Article=87
