California Bay Area Tattoo Referrals

Any recomendations of actual artists? I would assume that all of the artists in all of the shops stated aren't top of their class or are they? I'm only looking for a few of the best !! thanks

Check out the guys that the previous posters have listed. All those shops are very good and a lot of them have serious waiting lists. The Bay has a lot of good artists right now doing some very innovative things, the ones mentioned are a good start.

I am also located in the bay area and in a similar situation as the OP. I am looking for a good japanese style artist and have heard good things of Tim Lehi, Jason Kundell, and Colin Stevens. I've seen some of the work from Jason and Tim from their sites, but I cant find any work from Colin online. There isnt even a picture of him on his own site at bodym. Has anyone had work done by him? Any links to his work/style?
