Can you tattoo over a burn from garlic? (Lots of too much info...)

Hi, On my hip I had an annoying large mole, and being young and stupid (with internet access) I found out you can remove them using crushed garlic to effectively 'burn' it off (don't do it though....) So I left crushed garlic on over night, held on with a plaster, and to begin with it seemed to work. But then the scab came off (bigger than where the mole was, like a much bigger circle) and took forever to heal. Eventually it did of course, but now there is a largeish round scar on my hip. It's very pale, slightly dark at the edges. And then in the centre you can still see mole colour where the main thing once was. Obviously I'm very concious about this, and luckily it's in a discreet place but that's half the problem. I find it very unattractive. I was wondering if it is possible for a decent artist to tattoo over it, or for some way of covering/removing/fixing etc it. I don't wanna be stuck with it forever :( Thanks, Doug
