um, that depends on ten tons of things. ask the artist you want to do it, in person. give them full details such as: size, font, style, color, etc...those are things needed to be known for sure.
$150 an hour seems to be the going rate for most top artists.
I'll do it for fifty bucks
I'll do it for fifty bucks.
And if you spend $50 you'll get what you pay for.
Most artists we work with have a going rate of anywhere from $125-$200 an hour. It's impossible to say without knowing a lot more about what you want to get tattooed. Nonetheless, one more time a resounding "you get what you pay for". Price shopping is in poor taste and ultimately isn't going to result in a good tattoo, it will result in a cheap one.
Bullshit.
Any reputable business person has a cost/profit equation that reflects the market price. When the market price is out of line, an adjuster like me steps in.
Tattooing that costs $200 per hour to do that has a supply cost of less than $10 (more than likely less than $5) for the entire job, is out of line.
I make a good living doing $50 tattoos. A lot of my business is covering up $200 per hour shit.......
