Custom tattoo advice please.

I don't really know what kind of advice I could expect to get on this subject being as personal as it is but I'm currently going through somthing in my life that I would really like represented somehow in a tattoo. Basicly the short of it is this I'm facing atleast a year in jail over a simple marijuana possesion charge. I feel very strongly about the need for reform of marijuana laws and I believe my case to be textbook example of why... I would like very much to exprese this somehow in my tat. A sad leaf, bars, I need someone more artistic then me to develope this concept. I don't know where to start. Please any advice or suggestions appreciated. Thanx in advance. Man in hell.

I agree, going to jail for the weed is wrong. Very sorry to hear your story. Your best bet, to get the best tattoo and design, is going to be finding a tattoo artist who is into the same culture(wont be too hard, but keep in mind not every artists will share your viewpoint), and is a fantastic custom tattoo artist(a little more difficult). Also sorry to hear. I've never used weed, but its not hard to realize that the health risks of alcohol are far worse. Blah Blah Blah. All I can say is that no matter what happens DO NOT get your work done in prison. Any correction officer can tell you of the absolute horror stories regarding prison tattoos. I am sure you could have guessed that but the complete lack of cleanliness in prison when combined with the large populations of inmates with communicable diseases [HIV, Hepatitis, etc.] could be fatal. As bad as this sounds, it's one year to wait for something that will be there forever. Take that year and think about it if you don't get it done before you are sentenced. Good luck
