Its funny what a TV show can do to a person. First of all I love to watch him on that show because whenever I am down about my art I see Darren work and It reminds me that I am not that bad. I like Cat and Garver. For Darren to say there is no talent here is funny even Nick Trammel who works in his shop is hands down better than him. He should just stop talking out his ass and just say he lucked out and had a chance to be on tv. And by the way Darren you suck. There are plenty of very talented artist in Ct.

I thought Nick Trammel was moving up to Off the Map in November . . .

Prickmag.Net: "What made you decide to leave Connecticut and move to Miami?" Darren Brass: "You can only go so far in Connecticut. There's not much talent there to feed off of. I needed to be exposed to more artists that I could learn from." Welp, its obviously insulting to some of the brilliant tattoo artists who call Connecticut their home. I consider many of those artists my friends so I guess you could say Im kinda offended that he so easily dismissed some of my good friends talent in a very public forum. But, more than offended (cause I could really care less) I feel sad that he either doesnt or cant see the obvious talent that resides in Connecticut. Indeed, the only reason I go to the state is for the tattoo industry there. Im leaving in 5 minutes to go to CT. I am very thankful for the very inspiring talent there. We wouldnt be here if it wasn't for those artists. That said, it takes all kinds in this world and part of the beauty is the diversity of opinions. He has his and I have mine. In the end, I work hard so the public can judge talent for themselves. In case anyone cares, they can check out our Connecticut tattoo gallery to see the kind of talent that resides there. Pretty inspiring if you ask me. We're quite excited to have Nick Trammel up at Off the Map full time come november 17th. I met him at Darkside Tattoo in CT years ago and hes quite talented.

although i dont agree with darren's comments...i met darren a few months back...and he's a super nice/humble acting guy..personally i dont think he ment it the way it came out.....it kinda like me saying im a better tattoo artist than gabe.. not knowing that hes not a tattoo artist...it would be just a dumb comment just like this reply...
