The man's death is not being investigated as a homicide or a suicide, Charleston County Deputy Coroner Judy Koelpin said last week. "Our main goal is identifying who he is." After a week of waiting, authorities released the following description of the man's tattoos: "South of Heaven" along the man's lower back; an intricate series of demons, werewolves, skulls and wizards on his upper back; the face and torso of a screaming demon on his stomach; and a pentagram and dragon on his upper right arm. Results of a toxicology report are still pending. "Nobody expects foul play, unless there's something toxicology is going to tell us about him," said Charleston County Deputy Coroner Dottie Lindsay. No wallet was found with the man, but there was cash in his pockets, Koelpin said. She described him as a white male between 40 and 50 years old, 6 feet tall, and 170 to 180 pounds. He had salt-and-pepper hair and a goatee. He wore a denim shirt with the sleeves torn off, she said. If you have information, call the coroner's office at 843-746-4030.
