Hey Doc, I don't know if you'll be reading this or not, maybe you are already gone, but I think that this forum has just lost a really great person, and a really great perspective on tattoo art. Honestly, Doc, people like me really enjoy and could use your advice. I think I understand why you left (not quite sure, I'm a collector) but If you truly care about your art, I think it makes a lot more sense to stay and say "Hey this is bullshit, get rid of it!!!" and keep bitching about it until people do the right thing, and make a difference. I don't really get that you're the kind of guy to back down from a fight, so I'd like you to reconsider. If you can't be involved with anything that puts machines in the hands of untrained people, then don't be!! Speak up, kick some ass and change it! Otherwise, there won't be anyone left who even knows the difference! C'mon Doc! Where's the biker in ya?
All in all, it is a shame see Doc make the decision to remove himself completely from the forum, TattooNow family, and to not come to Nightcrawlers. His input and advise will be sorely missed. I know that we can not please everyone. Hell, look at how many people we have pissed off when we respond to certain threads with what people NEED to hear and not what they WANT to hear. Doc, I know Gabe does care about your profession and I know that he does care about his site. My friend, he is only one man and therefore, cannot move mountains. I give you my complete and total respect for standing on your word, but those of us who try to contribute to this forum in a possitive manner, (and sometimes not so possitive manner) and those that come to this forum to find answers and advice, will be at a loss if we lose one of our own who has given his life to this art and has the experience to back it up. Eventhough you may not like the "head coach" and agree with the decisions he makes on game day, your team mates still need ya on the field, Brother. Sir J
