Ducky's Story...

11 messages · last activity 7/14/2006

Alright, so, as many of you know i have started working at Old Navy doing the shipments...a 4am till 9am/2pm shift. On June 12th, i put my laptop into CompUSA to get service taken care of under my warantee. They send it to Toshiba and say a couple weeks. They have been beating me around the bush, and, according to the email from Toshiba saying they finished with it June 20th, i'm thinkin that someone stole it and they don't want me to know till they figure out how to replace it. In addition, Matt has been anemic for a few months now. Been taking him to Drs. Appointments, etc etc. Now, he has to get iron intraveiniously(sp), or, they pump it into him. So, after that, he should be better...but he's missed work a lot and has gotten really stressed, so, he's going to be bringing stuff home and getting caught up...aka i'm going to be doing as much as i understand how to do while he's at this thing all day friday and i'm between here and painting at the theater. Good news, while i'm working on that, i can be watching on here! lol About 3 weeks ago we got a new puppy! most darling thing ever, love her to death, but, it's very hard to sit at a desktop computer and let a puppy sleep with you, or to play with the puppy, etc. And, when the puppy is attached to you at the hip (which i LOVE), that makes it very hard to do more than check your email while she sits there anad stares at you the whole time. Now, about 2ish weeks ago, i started doing a play. I'm having a blast, but this week is called tech week. Besides having to help my Fiance make the posters and programs, Me and one other girl (used to be just the one girl) are the only people willing and wanting to do the set, and she just started a new, full time job. SO, guess what i've been doing? Here is my daily schedule for this week. 4-9am be at work 9-11:30ish clean up, feed the puppy, play with puppy, etc around 12 get to theatre and paint paint paint *make sure someone will feed puppy around 5 for me* around 6/7 other cast members arrive and rehearsal starts practice and paint from 6/7 till about 11:30 Go home, let the puppy out, play a little so she'll sleep try to sleep Plus, some random Drs. appointments thrown in some days SOOOOOOOOO Where has Ducky been??? Taking matt to Drs. appointments, Trying not to drive off of roads, trying not to fall asleep during my breaks at work, trying to deal with stupid CompUSA people, Taking naps on the couch in the back of the theatre while other shows are going on, and trying to love and potty train a puppy. BUT! Next week i have no more rehearsals during the week or ANYTHING, just my weekend shows, SO, i SHOULD have a laptop by then, and Matt should be better, i should be able to catch up on sleep, and i SHOULD be on here like i normally am. If you are in the Baltimore area, i will be putting info about the show on my myspace! -Bri P.S. I'd love to hear some pitty, lol. Nobody else seems to notice the kinda schedule i'm dealin with right now. *wink wink nudge nudge*
Yeow! ((lots of hugs and sympathy for the Duck))
Jeeesh! Ducky I know you already told me about this but DAMN!! sucks to be you!!!...But hey at least you aren't sittin in front of a computer playin WOW 90+hours a week gettin brain rot!!!!
Holy shiite, Muslim!!!!!
I'll needlessly bash my testicles with a monkey wrench if that will help....HELP!
Oh my dear ducky girl, I can relate! (and you have my sympathy). May I indulge my schedule. You have puppy, I have toddler. Same sad face when mama's on computer. I'm a playwright. I have one last scene to write and it's taking me six months. I'm caught up in perfection. I produce non equity theater productions (usually my own) when I have time LOLOLOLOL. This means I know the drill on making flyers, selling tickets, getting PR, painting, lighting, sound.......... ARGGG!! (there's a reason I'm not done with my last scene and it's probably because I know what awaits. Work: I'm a personal assistant for a heavy hitting film director. I'm at his beck and call. I love him, he adores my daughter, but it's like a second husband. Husband: Love em to bits, but he still need general maintenance/attention like a good work truck. He's a simple guy and fairly easy to please with good food and a non bitchy wifey, then he can play his guitar and I pass out with toddler reading Goodnight Moon!. get up, do it again. xx's Meow!
p.s. email me your myspace link! I'm: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=66534620
Yeah Ducky!!! Glad to hear from you!!! Hang in there... Seems like there is a lot of it going around.... Al
Hey Ducky...good luck! Sounds like you have a lot going on, but it all sounds kinda exciting...minus the anemic thing that is...that sucks. My computer sucks too...just died after not having it long, damn Dell! And I'm planning a wedding which is less than a month away....urg. Dana
Thanks so much for all the comments you guys. It's been rough, but, i'm goin tomorrow to demand computer or replacement computer, with the email showing that they are full of shit sayin they don't know what's going on. Then, matt is getting iron, so he SHOULD feel better....and, there are like 2 little things left before the set will be done. Plus after tomorrow we will not be having any more rehearsals as we will be open. HAHA, too bad one of the leads spends too much time talking about the other ones that he doesn't know his lines yet. *laughs* For anyone that wants it, my myspace is www.myspace.com/evilduckypunk -Ducky
And with that............Thankyou Jehovah for my own self absorbed life!!!!! TCE
