eternal recall

this is from eikon: There has been an issue identified in the Netherlands regarding Eternal Ink and a higher than acceptable bacteria level on some colors that were tested. A recall of any affected products has been issued in Europe. This is believed to be an isolated incident where Health Officials removed color from a tattoo shop in the Netherlands and took it in for testing purposes. Those test results showed an unacceptable level of bacteria in the pigment. There are 16 colors affected and they are identified by color name, lot numbers and expiry dates - click here to see a chart of affected colors. whats up with this?

Indeed... Were these unopened bottles? If opened, were they stored and handled properly by the shop prior to testing? Was more than one shop's ink tested with the same results? What controls were used to deterrmine this was worthy of a recall? More info please...

you would have to contact eternal themselves on that i just seen that on eikon and felt like i should put it on some forums i go to to help others out im going to assume that thhey were unopen bottles otherwise i doubt they would recall so much

So I just sent that inquiry to eikon. The reply was confidential. Let's just say don't panic just yet if you're a consumer. And if you're a shop don't be an idiot... When your ink is old, throw it out and get a fresh batch.
