Expert info needed

Hey, I am hoping someone out there will know the answer to this. I am NOT a tattoo person BUT, my best friend EVER in the world and soulmate, my dog Amber died this last year and now I would like to always have a part of her with me at all times... SO, what I thought about doing but do not know if it is possible and/or safe is this... Can I take a small bit of her hair - burn it and turn it into a fine powder and add it to the tattoo ink that I use to get a small tattoo to remember her by? If anyone has done this or knows about this, I would really appreciate any information you could provide. If a tattoo artist reads this and has any insight into wether or not a tattoo artist would even do this, that would be great too. Thanks for reading and thanks for any information you can provide. As you can se by my name i am certainly no expert.BUT i would think for expert adivce you should check out some shops in your area.Im sure you would get a reliable answer either way. We dont bite. ; )

The main obstacle will be finding an artist who will add it. Some people love the idea, and some people cringe at it. It def. changes the texture of the ink, and if you are working with black, it can grey it out. I had my memorial chest piece done with my husbands ashes. It did take my first session of greywork about twice as long to heal. I have since done memorials on other people, but I prefer to only use the ashes in a greywash. Hope this helps. Jess
