Finding my tattoo artist

I am searching for an artist to work on my body for my first tattoo. I am probably the furthest thing from the guy who goes to a random shop and picks a design from a book. I have the design in mind I would like... but I've been having trouble finding the artist. I don't have a problem travelling a long distance if I have to, but of course it would be great if i could have it done near home. To me there are no sacrifices, the tattoo is forever and I want it to be awesome. I've done google searches on 'best tattoo artist' and things like that, but haven't come up with a whole lot. The best I have seen thusfar for the type of tattoo I like is Guy Aitkinson. I don't want like faces, skulls, demons, or stuff like that... I've seen some nice work like that, but its just not my style. I like things like flowing, colorful, geometric, psychedelic, fractal, spirals, spacelike, eyes, universal, deep meaning, etc. check out www.alexgrey.com he is one of my favorite artists. Basically I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on a great artist. I'm just looking for a few ideas right now, some galleries I can check out online so I can make a decision. As I said I just want it to be perfect. If I have to travel and it costs a lot, so be it, but even better if its reasonably priced and local. Thanks in advance for any input Nick

Check out Corey Kruger @ goodfaithtattooing.com. He's in Boston. He does not post much of his work, BUT, trust me on this, his tattoos and artwork are incredible!! It would be well worth a trip for you to go see his portfolio in person and talk to him. His portfolio is amazing. He, in fact, paints with Alex Grey. Also check out Jon Clue, Carson Hill and Mike Cole. Good luck.
