First Tattoo, on wrist

I am wanting to get my first tattoo and I am wanting it on the inside of my wrist. I know it's suppose to be painful but does anyone have any advice on what might make it better? I know to go in with a relaxed mind state and to not focus on it while getting it done. It's going to be my first tattoo and I'm actually looking forward to it. It's basically just going to be the word 'Relax' on the inside of my wrist.
