There's a couple chinese characters I've always loved and have alot of meaning to me. But, I'm approaching this with hesitancy.
My skin is ageing (obviously) and I don't know if a first time tattoo would look all that great or attractive.
( I was thinking of having one on my upper shoulder )
I see most of them on 20-somethings and they look great because their skin is tight and youthful. I think you'd agree that tats are better displayed on healthy skin.
Be honest with your reply, if you honestly think I'd be wasting my time and money just say so
Thanks

You're never too old to start! I've seen folks get their first tattoo at 80+! My thoughts are, we'll all age and get wrinkly so who cares if our wrinkles are a little bit more animated :)
Good luck! I say if it's what you want, go for it!
ive done first tattoos on a couple 65 yr old ladys
If it were me, I would first talk to Gabe (CDS) the owner of this site because he's HEARD of the best of the best this business has to offer. Then I would immediately go out and get an apprenticeship.
No seriously man I shouldn't be poking fun at this question. So this is my serious answer. If it's something you want to have on you for the rest of your years, DO IT! There is a certain beauty to having art that is a part of you. I am in my 40's now and I got my very first one at age 15. Now I have 12 and each one good and bad is a piece of me that I love and cherish. The wrinkling part of things......well at this age I can say it doesn't effect tats as much as you would think.
