Foot Tattoo Swelling

So I go the top of my left foot tatted on Saturday afternoon. It is now Thursday evening and the swelling is still there. It gets worse towards the end of the day but I never dreamed it would last this long. I have been taking Ibuprofin 800mg every 4-6 hours and am icing it at night and as much at work as I can during the day. Is this at all normal???!! Thank you!!

Hey there! I got my right foot tatted on 4/4/09. The swelling comes and goes. Keep it elevated when you can and the cold compress is good too. I've heard also to decerease your salt intake (I don't know. Just telling you what i have heard.) How long? Well a few of my friends had swelling for two weeks. So yea, I guess the foot swelling for almost a week is normal.
