foot tattoos

I have 3 tattoos all together...i got them all in less then a year...but the one i just got recently is on my left foot.Its a hawaiian flower with a whole mess of lines and shooting stars...i got it november 15 2009 and today is the 17th and since the second day my foot swell up and its still like i wanted too know if that is normal or if there is something wrong with it?...i clean it day and night i keep it moist but i also work and go too school...can it be something serious or is it normal? please someone help me
