Trying to determine how a tattoo on the inside arch of my foot would hold up. I see lots of notes on top of the foot tattoos, but not much about the spot I'm interested in.

D2,
If you go through the archives, you'll see at least a few comments about tattoos on the sides of the foot.
I found out for myself in the last few months that tats in these areas don't seem to hold up well. As the skin on the foot transitions from the normal skin on top to the thick padded skin on the soles, it changes in the way it holds ink.
Because these are high wear areas packed with nerve endings, and are prone to injury and invading bodies, the bodies natural reaction is to continually shed this skin at a faster rate than other places on the body, ejecting any foreign materials, including ink, that may be lodged within.
Some of the lines that I've had touched up several times in the last few months just seem to dissolve over and over again, and it seems that just about the time the lines heal, the skin begins working on getting rid of the ink altogether.
It's going to be an expensive proposition having to have the work touched up every year if I want it to stay looking decent.
Good luck!
