Getting a leg-sleeve, work?

Heya Guys, Soon i will be getting my first tattoo, a rather large, full leg (just above knee) sleeve piece, and i was wondering if i have the piece on the saturday, if i will be able to stand for 5 hours on the following tuesday night. I need to go to work, and i really cant get out of doing the shift. I have heard horror stories of swelling and such, is there anything i can do to avoid this, or at least make the 5 hours as easy as possible?

Depends on how you heal! It's only 5 hours. Are you just getting the outline and maybe some shading around the whole uppper leg? Either way, I would presume you'll be fine to stand on Tuesday on a 5 hour sitting, but how long will you be standing? Nice to know someone is starting off their first tattoo with a 5 hour sitting.

Oh sorry, alittle confusion obviously, my first sitting is 2 hours, i have to stand for 5 hours at work. What you guys think?

My confusion, sorry!. I am sure you'll be fine, unless there's an infection. Even with an infection you should still be fine!
