How do you decide what size is right?

I've been set on getting a tattoo now for about 3 years, I have it all drawn up and everything. I want a tribal cross on my shoulder. The only thing holding me up at this point is size, I've drawn up the tattoo in about 25 different sizes and cant decide what size I want. This seems like a pretty important piece of the puzzle to me. I don't want anything huge but I also don't want to regret not having made it bigger. So how did you guys go about picking how large you wanted your tattoo to be?

that's honestly a very simple quandary. go for the middle. whatever it is you think that's not too big or too small. talk to your artist if need be. we can scan a picture in and make it whatever size necessary. it really shouldn't be that hard to get a handle on and decide.
