I got a tat 2 days ago on the back of my knee. It's not my first tat but I am worried about it cracking throughout it. I got a chinese symbol darkly outlined with color faded inside of it. I understand the color will fade a little until the actual tat heals but because of the excessive bending of my knee it looks like there may be a cracking effect. I have been washing it a couple times a day as well as small amounts of lotion, I am going to switch to A&D ointment tomorrow instead, as much as I can I don't let it rub on things, and keep my leg straight as much as possible. I've considered crutches, but that seems excessive. Perhaps I am just being a little parinoid but I really love the tat and love to show it off, I don't want to end up ruining it. I'll prolly get it touched up after a while but I don't want my new tat to look like crap. Advice Please?
I just got a tat on the back of my knee, should I be worried about a cracking effect?

You got a tattoo in a place that continuously bends and moves throughout the day, it's bound to need a touch up. Its like the ditch of your arm or your wrist, or any part of your body that constantly bends and flexes. You should definitely take care of it as best you can, but touch up is sort of inevitable. I would NOT switch to a&d though. Personally I think it sucks for healing in generally, but if anything you should only use it in the first days of healing. So I wouldn't do that.
I hope it all works out!
