i need advice

my name's victor, and i need some advice on what to do with my situation. i'm getting a half sleeve done on my upper right arm of st. michael fighting a dragon. the guy i went to originally was too expensive ( i'm pretty limited on my funds). i searched around and found an artist near my house that would do the tattoo for the exact price i was looking for. he said he had a lot of experiance and that he was the best in town. i went with the guy figuring that he was pretty qualified. it's been two and a half months, and he's only tattood me for two hours total of the two sittings i've had with him. he has only done the outline of st. michael and a little shading. he hasn't even done half of the outline. i asked him how the drawing was coming for the dragon and he said he hasn't even started. i have a feeling this guy's not ever gonna fishing the damn tattoo, or i'm gonna die before he gets around to it. i was thinking of going to another person, but i've already paid this guy half of the job. again, i don't have that much money, and other artists are probably not gonna give me a discount because they feel bad for me. so someone please help me out with this. it's my first tattoo, and i want more. but i don't want to have to go through this everytime.

Sorry but you brought this on yourself, in a tattoo the size you speak of ( well ANY tattoo for that matter) you should CAREFULLY choose your artist. Did you get references and check them out? Seems to me like the same old tired, sad story we ee every damned day at the shop; I tried to get a deal and instead O got screwed. Cut your losses,save up the money and find a COMPETENT, RESPONSIBLE artist to do the job the right way and in a timely manner and quit being a cheapskate when it comes to something that is going to be on your body FOREVER!!! Caveat Emptor!!

Victor you're right , you're probably not gonna get a discount from another artist because you chose to go with this other guy and you've become unhappy with the progress. I'm a bit curious as to why you would be ok starting a piece so large without first seeing what this man had intended to tattoo onto you. Maybe he's that good , and at the same time that slow. I'd talk with the artist who's started this piece during your next visit and inquire about speeding up the process. Especially about seeing your drawing for the rest of it. I woudln't be a prick about it lol you don't wanna piss off the guy sticking needles in your arm. I've met various people with your complaints about the speed in which a person tattoos. But it doesn't mean your artist sucks by default.
