hi i know you guys here this everyday and it must annoy the s*%t out of you all but i really want to tattoo i have had my equipment for over 2 years now (not a kit!! all micky sharpz products) but i really dont want to tattoo anybody untill im shown the right and pro way i have inked myself on tops of legs and it was pretty decent for a first one. now the hard part for 2 years i have been trying to get a apprentice but i just carnt find anywhere that will offer me one. the closest i got was with jo harrison which would of been perfect but then she went traveling :( all the artist say my artwork is great and above average they just dont have time or space for anyone else and with all the t.v shows now they are geting like 20 people a day asking for the job. but i really want to do this i draw everyday and try to read as much as i can about the art of tattoos and machine etc. also my uncle is a ex tattooist and a very good one at that and e has tought me alot about the right way to things only problem is he no longer owns a shop to work in and train me and i really want shop expierence instead of tattoing mates and stuff. now i know self taught is the wrong way to go but i fear that this is my only hope to make it in to my dream job. if any of your guys could give me some pointers on what you would do that would be great.
now im not saying i want to learn from forums that wold just be wrong and some of the "pro" forums i seem to know more than them. i just want a few points in the right direction thanks
p.s be kind lol

You say you have a tattooist (uncle) to show you what to do..... just do it!
Keep your price low until you have done a few hundred tattoos (don't do it for free, believe it or not you get more clients if you charge a nominal fee).
thanks for the reply i think its my only option now to just learn what i can and just practise practise practise till im good enough to work in a shop thanks
lets see some of yer art. Jo is awesome, if she said she would apprentice you, then just keep getting tattooed by bad asses and another opportunity will present itself...
I agree with Gabe. Let's see some of your work! However while you sound like your head isn't up your ass, it's kind of hard to give you general pointers on how to tattoo. It's a trade that needs to be learned, preferably 1 on 1, but certainly not on a forum. I don't tattoo, I know enough about it, but even so I wouldn't even know where the fuck to start on giving suggestions.
So my suggestion, is keep trying! If you're drawing everyday, keep bringing shit into shops until they tell you to fuck off you or they start to see your dedication. If you're genuinely drawing everyday, and someone like Jo would think of apprenticing you then it sounds like you're on the right track. Just don't start tattooing people, don't fuck around with the equipment. It's very hard to unlearn bad habits, and it's a hassle artists definitely don't want in taking on an apprentice. Good luck!
