im a 13 years old and want a tattoo

ok well im 13 and two of my other friends we are best friends and we wantr to get a tatto of a heart with each of our name or whatever in them. what should we do?

Wait atleast when you are 18. Because if you are best friends, you will be that when you are 18. And no one will tattoo you if you are so young. Not anybody thats good and safe. So wait :)

I think that it's really cool that you guys want to get tattooed together. . . but you should really wait until you're 18. . . Here's why: As somebody who rushed into getting a tattoo, I didn't get the best tattoo I could have, and it looks like crap. So, work out the design now, and sit on it 'til you're 18. Do LOTS of research. Look through the galleries on Tattoonow, on BME, and on other websites, and work on expanding your original idea. Maybe work in different aspects from different milestones that you and your friends pass in your life, and look at the many different styles of tattoo. Maybe you'll find something that the 3 of you like more than a simple heart, and when it comes time for all of you to get tattooed, you'll have a design in mind, and hopefully you will have picked an artist that you really admire. There's very few things as exciting as tracking down an artist that you really like, and getting tattooed by them; you become a piece of art yourself. So go for it, just wait (as uncool as it might be) until your 18. . it'll be worth it. There's nothing worse than a shitty tattoo you regret (and lasering a tattoo is WAY more painful and expensive than getting a good tattoo in the first place).

I've wanted one since I was five so I know what its like to want one really bad. Back then I wanted a little diamond, not the shape but you know one with the facets and everything, on my ankle. Now I think that is the stupidest design ever, not only that, but I haven't even been able to find that design cuz it doesn't exist. There is another thread from a few days ago that adresses this issue pretty close. "I'm 14 and getting a tattoo". read that and if you still are determined to get one with your friend, I'd say do something small and easily hidden. Also stay away from names etc. You don't need your friend's name tattooed on you to remember getting it with her. If you both get similar things the connection will be enough. But I still say wait till you're at least 18. By the time that comes, you guys should have a really awesome design and know exactly what you're getting into.

So I'm sure most of us old folk on the board can attest to the fact that often times people who are you're friends when you're 13 are not generally your friends 10 years later, or even 1 year later. Out of everyone I was friends with at that age ONE is still in my life, and thats it. Wait. Wait. And uh... wait. Besides being too young to get anything tattooed, it's just not a good idea to get someones name on you.

also, you are still growing, so the tat will stretch as you get to 'adult size'. listen to everybody here, and wait. not to burst your bubble, just saving you the regret. also, as you mentioned about the diamond, you know see it was a stupid idea (but it can be done), you will have the same opinions about the heart in a year or so. develop your idea and when the time comes, you will be very glad you waited.

i suppose the next thing you want is a blow job..........
