Im Voting Republican

hey gabe...for some reason the video isn't coming through on my computer is there a link to it you could post up there? If your serious about voting republican, what changed your mind? Dont think i'm asking to be an ass, trust me, i'm glad your voting that way if your serious...i just wanted to know why since the video isn't playing on my computer.
Link to video. And no, Im not really voting for McCain, Im not a sadist. I like to live freely, peacefully, and healthily in an environment that favors the working classes keeping the currency strong. If McCain gets elected, Im off to europe. Well, hopefully Im off anyways, ideally as an extended working vacation and not as an escape from a collapsing economy.
yeah i'm not much of a McCain fan either but i despise obama too. I'm a registered republican only so i can vote in november but i'm a right leaning libertarian at heart. i'm voting for bob barr so that when either one of the canidates fucks everything up...and they will just watch...i'm not going to feel responsible for contributing to the mess that is becoming america.
See, I dont despise Obama at all, indeed, I agree with most of what he says and most (70%ish) of what he does. What he doesnt do I chock up to his youth (foutry frickin six!) and with experiance and momentum I think he will grow into someone whose actions I agree with even more. As soon as he starts backing down from his work and moral ethic I will give em no quarter, but so far what he does wrong I think he does cause he dont have the real balls yet. So Im hoping getting him in office with a friendly congress and senate will help get this country working again. I believe the endgame for libertarianism is a state of nature, where the strong are free to take over. I believe the government is set up to insure the pursuit of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Making sure the economy works for the people is a big part of the governments job. In short, someone's gotta play referee, the trick is educating the masses so they pick fair referees. I think people are sick of the corrupt government and are electing people who truely have their benefit at heart. I wont believe it till I see it, but people seem to be smartening up a little bit. What exactly do you despise about Obama?
oh, and I would never register with a party until its time to vote, I would never really trust a large group of people to "register" under. I am registered independent and honestly couldn't imagine registering anything else.
Oh, and as far as being responsible for this mess, did you vote for Bush?
No i didn't vote for bush in either election. I actually only recently got into politics partly due to the fact that I'd like to find a good reason as to why the people of New Jersey keep voting for the likes of Frank Lautenberg and Jon "king" Corzine but haven't come up with a reason yet. Obama's answer to everything seems to be larger government and raising taxes both of which i'm very opposed. I'll pay taxes so our boys in Iraq can have the best equipment...no problem with that but I'm sick of paying taxes for people on welfare who use those checks for cell phones and cable TV instead of a suit and tie to go on a job interview. When the government was initially created it was to serve the people thus calling people in politics public servants. It was also designed to stay somewhat small. When the government gets too big....overthrow it. i believe jefferson said that....he was a genius even if i've made a mistake and he didn't say it he was a genuis and we need many many more like him. Just take the oil problem america is going through right now. Can you honestly say that a "windfall profits tax" is the answer to fix it all? How would you like it if someone told you that you make too much money and said "well were going to have to take a large portion of YOUR earnings above a certain amount that you earned"? If i were the oil companies i would just stay under that upper limit right below where the "windfall" kicks in but that will create problems as the cost of oil will keep going up and they will buy less thus crippling the U.S. in every way imaginable. I really think that congress should let up and let the U.S. explore what resources we have here (ANWR and Alaskans would like to drill there too, the oil shales in the mid-west, and of course coastal waters). Obama says that there wont be any relief for about 5 years even if we drilled today. So is it better to just raise taxes for oil companies, let the gas price go up and stay dependent on foreign oil for the next 5 years while the saudi's rape hard working americans at the pump OR drill for our own oil while reinvesting that money saved on finding and developing ways to get cleaner fuel and energy? Sounds like common sense to me but Obama is perfectly happy to pay 4,5,6 and even 7 bux a gallon...his only complaint is that the price went up to sharply instead of more gradually AND lets not forget that he's a millionaire so filling up isn't a problem like it is for me....i'm broke hahaha. shit the cubans and chinese are, no pun intended, slant drilling off of floridas coast in international water into OUR oil reserves. How rediculous does that sound? Cuba and china can have our oil but we cant. I just think that he's young and should have more experience before he wants to call himself a U.S. president. I mean how many mistake are you willing to have him make before you chalk it up to bad policy and decisions? Just because his policies right now on the campaign trail are the polar opposite of the Bush administration doesn't make them the right policies in my opinion. I actually dig what you said about registering as an independent. That makes some sense and is definitly something to look into. As far as the war goes, i just read a book that i think everyone should read. Its terrific and captivating and gives a first hand account of whats going on over there from the Marines that are actually over there....not the old political figures and pundits you see on TV speculating about it...the real Marines. They really dont get the respect they deserve when they come home. Its called "American Heros" by oliver north. I would suggest highly that you read that book. But Gabe you and I have been down this political talk road before and if i remember right, I left our conversation with an agree to disagree attitude. I respect what your doing for the tattoo community and would rather not talk about politics with you because i dont want it to get nasty. I'd actually like to come in and give you a little business sometime in the future...hahaha. I just wanted to answer your questions as best i can and move on amicably.
