i've read through a lot of these posts regarding foot tattoos and while they've all been very informative i guess i'm looking for some specifics.
i'm planning on getting a quote tattooed on the inside of my right foot. i want it to be 3 lines with the first starting slightly on the top and the last right below that little bone on the inside of my ankle. i just want it to be very delicate looking with a thin script but i am worried about fading and it becoming un-readable over time (i know some of it is inevitable but i'd like to avoid it as long as possible).
so my question is is this a common place to get a tattoo or is it even a smart place to get one? am i making a mistake? i want it there because it can be hidden easily at future jobs and what not. i already have one tattoo on my shoulder blade which was an annoying pain but not really painful -- if that makes sense. i realize a foot tattoo is going to be incredibly painful but i have a relatively high pain tolerance so i'm hoping it'll be bearable.
also, i'll hopefully be getting it within the next few weeks while it's still flip-flop season but at work i HAVE to wear sneakers. i'm obviously worried about the initial wear and tear as it's healing but there must be something i can do to protect it while at work. any suggestions? my other concern is walking around a college campus in flip-flops with a new tattoo. i mean, i have to go to class and i have to work - everyone who's gotten a foot tattoo couldn't have just been laid up for 3 weeks sitting inside right? i basically just don't want to spend a lot of money on a tattoo i've planned on getting for years now only to have something go horribly wrong.
