High Gang! i saw this info. here; RE:I NEED GOOD BLACK INK!!!! Posted by taz from IP: 207.192.207.158 on 02/07/06 MIDWEST for lining I like kuro sumi...if you want an intense black for shade or fill try taking 10 parts kuro sumi to 1 part witch hazel combine in a very clean sauce pan...bring to a full boil...reduce heat and simmer till ink is reduced by between 1/2 and 1/3 (trial and error for personal taste here!) takes about an hour to reduce...watch it constantly and do not allow to scorch! Pl.anyone tell me whether its possible to make other ordinary colour ink intense by using the above method? Is it safe?
This is why we dont like technical talk on the forum, you can never really trust the sources.
WOW! who in this world would suggest such procedure???!! Stay away from migrating your inks to non sterile containers or a recipient full of bacteria such as a cooking bowl! From the bottle to the ink cap that's it. If you want really dark ink try this brands: - Dynamics - Talenz - Pelikan - Kuro. Th way you apply the pigment has a lot to do with its blackness as well as healing procedure. Make your ears deaf to any suggestion like this one that entails exposing inks to foreign surfaces.
Not to mention that extremes of heat and cold can affect ink on a molecular level most ink companies will tell you not to use ink if it comes frozen after being delivered in cold climates and tattoos are removed by laser you are basically cooking the ink in the skin to break it down on a molecular level i would just leave my inks alone maybe spring for some starbright tribal black or eternal triple black Erik
