Is their money in tattooing

I have been drawing for some time know and thinking of slinging some ink is their more money in that then my 10dollar an hour day job?
most people start tattooing for the love of the art and not for money. really the main reason you should do anything is for the love of it and not for the money. money is the outcome and is secondary. first off if you dont have any tattoos go get some and see if you like them. see if you like the shops atmosphere. get to know some artist see what theyre lives are like. then if you think its something thats for you go for it. you will probably run into alot of opposition and dead ends thats just the nature of the business. your art abitlity and dedication will determine how long till you make some money and how much. its a long slow road and usually the first 2-3 years are spent just getting buy. once you get estabalished you can make a decent living but it takes a lot of hard work.
depends on how talented, patient, hard working, etc, etc you are. Jay hit the nail on the head, if your doing anything for money its for the wrong reason(in my opinion).
There's even more money in Medical and Legal fields, they drive cooler cars, and have nicer houses.
