Itchy Tattoos

I've had my tattoos for a few years now. Suddenly, I've been getting bumps on the black in areas, kind of like they are rising in some areas. I've gotten them done at different places, yet still have the same symptoms: rising in black inked areas, and itch so bad!!! What's going on?!?

Hey J, Well nothing to be concerned about. I have had that same thing happen to my tats and some are over 20yrs old. There are a lot of things that can happen to cause it. Most of the time I found on mine it was a change in diet or detergent. Don't itch them, just wash with some of the same soap you always use and put some "dry skin" lotion on it and it should clear up within a few days. If the itching is bothering you really bad buy some Benedril (sp) and try that. It is probably some type of allergy to something new. M
