Is Jesse Smith considered a top tier color artist?

I personally would not do just that, but I see as one of the best and most innovative New-School artists in the world. Pushing the limit and bringing new designs to the genre.

he is definitely talented in terms of what he does, but when i look at his art all i can see is tattoos that nu-metal kids would have sold their jnco's for 10 years ago. personally i wouldn't want something cartoonish on my body in that style. there is someone else who does a similar style, but i can't remember his name. he is on this site, and he now works out of poland. you might want to look at his tattoos too.

jesse is a great talent....he did the pharmaceutical brainwash piece on my leg. we have some background to go but he is fair, and a stand up person. you should collect a piece from him

Yeah I dig Jesse Smith's stuff too! He is a great talent and the pride of Virginia. Josh Woods at AON does some similar style too. But Jesse's local and doesn't charge nearly as much! I am working on a few ideas and may seek Jesse outto do a piece for me real soon.

I can understand his shit being a bit to much for some people, as far as cartoony or kinda old graff like carttoony stuff. But seriously as far as talent and drawing Jessy is the man, and It would be hard pressed to find to many people that could draw like him.
