LA Ink

Does anyone watch LA ink? I love watching it to hear peoples' stories. There's some interesting characters as well that come into that shop. Or should I say "casted" for the shop haha. Recently I noticed a singer from the band Civet - myspace.com/civet I was a fan of theres before that but it's cool to see people like that getting their tattoos done and the story behind it. I'd say its a lot more interesting now than Miami Ink, but I'm thinking that's because it's based in LA.

I watch the show to see good tattoos being done,and less about all the drama,and deep meaning behind getting a tattoo..Yea,some of my portraits are for people i admire,but most of the tattoos i have are because i like tattoos,and tha's it..I liked the guy who got the tattoo of the 70's trashy girl,not because of any deep meaning,but because he liked that era..And it was touching to see the old man get the portrait of his wife who died of cancer.Sometimes Kat just comes off as a hollywood phony,but she seemed really touched by the lenght of time he was married,and she came across as being more real,and that showed in the tattoo,as i think it was one of the better portraits i've seen from her.As far as it being better than Miami Ink,because it's in Hollywood,i don't know..I do know,i would rather see Chris Garver,and Tim Hendricks tattoo than anyone else on both show's.
