Hey folks:
I'm a big fan of lettering tattoos, and have been planning what I'd like to get for a bit now, so the next step is obviously finding a tattoo artist whose work I enjoy.
The trouble is that I'm in academia, and tattoos are still generally frowned upon, so it's not like I can ask my colleagues for their recommendations. Therefore, you've all become my colleagues, and so I'm asking for your recommendations.
I live in Philly, and won't travel for a tattoo (if I'm not satisfied with the quality, I'm simply not getting 'em). The styles will be a little different as well. I'll probably get my son's name (eight weeks till he's born) in classic Old English (but recently began looking at Art Deco fonts). After that, I'd like to get a couplet from Khalil Gibran's "The Prophet," that was part of my wife's and my wedding vows, across my shoulders. I'd like for that to be in English, but in an Arabic-esque font.
Finally, I have an old chinese symbol tattoo on my shoulder that I'd like "spruced up." It's getting a bit gray, and was wondering if my new-found tattoo artist could help out with that - cause I have no idea who the hell did it originally.
Sorry for the over the top description of my life, but I wanted to be thorough, cause you all seem to give hella good information when provided with all the facts.
Thanks all!
Jim

Thanks for the links, jtats. I'll definitely stop by their shops.
