Looking for an artist to do something in a specific style in Edmonton Ab

Alrighty, So I hope to be a first timer soon. Well at least I hope so. I have been thinking about what I want to get done for a while now. Less then a year but yeah. I know I want to get some pieces on my arm, and I believe that your skin is a map of your life and what you have been through etc. I also believe in peices that work together, even if they be from diffrent artists and in diffrent styles they can be designed to not look out of place. Basicly I am a pretty conservitave lookin guy, either wearing jeans and a t or combats, but I am a bit of a fan of the sleave. I want to start with one centerpiece then kinda branch off to other peices that fit together to tell a story of who i am. I am a fan of the 18th century style art, specificly the nautical drawings and maps, as well as the illustrative drawings of the period. For my First set of ink I would like something like a Roman officer on a mount. I believe that roman officers exume a look of honor, and they also represent this to me. Officers in rome first served in the military forced for several years, then they decided they wanted to stay, and becuase they where sucessful they where able to become officers. they CHOSE to serve the emporer. I want him on his mount possibly for reasons I dont full know yet, i mean other then looking cool, it is just another sign of his status I guess Essentially Feedback, ideas, sketchings and suggestions for artists locally are wanted here. Also has anyone got anything to say about sean at strange city in edmonton? He wasnt there when i went, but the front desk girl was very positive and knowledgebile and let me feel like they know what they are doing. I know they are clean and safe, its quality work i am worried about.

Sounds like you have a solid idea, now for the hard part. Find an artist in (or out of) your area that's amazing, responsible, reputable, and most importantly clean. Bring him your ideas, sit down with him and tell him everything that you want. Put your confidence in him as your artist and let him get to work. You'll find that you'll get so much more out of a tattoo when you AND your artist bounce ideas off of eachother. Good luck and keep us posted.
