Meaningful Tattoo

I've never gotten a tattoo, but I'm thinking about it so I had a couple of questions. If I do, I'll probably get a really small one because I'm kind of afraid it will hurt and also it's my first one. Also, I was thinking of getting one that signifies me taking responsibility over my life as I'm becoming an adult and my convictions are becoming more my own. I'm realizing that since I've been given stewardship over my life, if I want something, I need to take responsibility for it...etc. Anyways, does anyone have any ideas for this? Also, I was thinking about getting it on my foot, but I wanted a place that I could cover up if I needed to. Any suggestions for this? Thank you!
