My First tattoo (starting to get nervous)

So i'm on going in to get a tattoo on my 18th birthday in June... The one tat i want most is a scroll going down my rib cage area, with a quote in it and some roses on one corner of the scroll i think i'd be considered about average as far as pain tolerance (possibly a little more sensitive but not much). is that a good idea? bad idea? let me know your thoughts... i've heard that part of the body is pretty rough to get tatted. but on one of the posts here for "most painful spots", nobody mentioned it. tell me what you think please! -b.w.

HAVE FUN! its a BITCH area and ive had guys that were very well fit and they still grunted and said what in the hell was i thinking! ribcage is one of the most sensitive spots.make sure you eat a good meal about an hour before drink plenty of water and take some candy to suck on.best of luck let us know how it goes.

H mate i only have one tattoo and i got all nervouse when i went to get my first tattoo which was script on inside of bicep and it really didnt hurt at all. Im now going to get a 13" tattoo on my ribs and down my side. I cant wait. I got told it is ment to kill but still worth it. It felt very relaxing on the arm lol
