So I went to las vegas over the past weekend, Mostly for pleasure, but I did browse around to a few of the shops out there to check `em out. Most of the shops that I went too were very friendly and outgoing people who happily took the time to talk with me like any good/friendly person would do when they first meet someone. I went and checked Hart and huntingtons place over in the palms casino. When we walked in I immediately did not feel in the least bit welcome there. I received nothing but a real bad attitude by the "BIG GUY" standing behind the counter. He started to cut up the work on my buddy and I . He acted like he was doing me the favor by talking to us, almost like we were a pain in his ass by being there. I own a studio myself right here in mass ,now I am not an artist but I know good work when i see it and my buddy and myself have some great work done on us by some really talented artist`s. their work was really not that impressive enough for him to be acting the way he did. it`s not that they were doing bad tattoo`s because the work was clean but it didn`t jump out and say WOW! It was average work. There are quite a few shops in our area that do great quality work, and like them I let our artist`s work here do the talking for itself. and thats the way it should be in any good quality shop. I just felt like he was acting like his shit didn`t stink, when in fact IT DID! The girl at the counter didnt even know what the shop rate was! she had no clue of much there. I personally will never step foot in there again. the one other shop that i did go to was Vince Neils shop on the strip, and everyone their was extremely friendly and was interested in talkin with us. just thought I would share that experience with you. Hell i dont even speak much on this forum , i am more of a reader on here but i just thought i would put in my thoughts for once........

What's Vince's shop called? And do they have any good artists working there...
Hey if the masses want to go there I'm all for it, just means shorter waits for the great artsists I want to get work from.
i wonder how carey hart feels about tommy lee dirty dicking his wife?
hart is likely hung like a timid squirrel, and tommy is a horse. i'll bet pinks snatch is much too stretched too be any good to biker-boy.
His shop is called "VINCE NEIL INK" and it`s pretty much right inside shea`s casino right on the strip. you cant miss it. it`s a nice clean shop and by the looks of the portfolio that I looked through the work looked real tight.
from pamela to pink???
NAW! can't be true
vince neil, is this shop to pay for his plastic surgery? ROCK ON!!!!
Well, it's good to know that I wasn't the only one treated like dirt at Hart and Huntington! My husband and I were in Vegas last week and decided to be true tourists and get a tat from H&H. With $400 for each of us, we figured the prices would be a little inflated because of the location, but we really wanted to check it out. Here in Houston, you need to schedule an appointment with any respectable artist before you get tattooed so that the both of you know what you're getting into! (The average rate here is about $150 per hour) We were told on the phone that H&H was a "walk in" studio so I imagined it would be crazy busy. To my astonishment, it was dead! Deader than dirt! The ding-dong behind the counter told us that work rate depended on the artist and the image and could offer no other information than that. When I asked if I could speak to someone about a design idea, I was blown off and told to look through flash books! Discouraged but not ready to give up, hubby and I were looking through the books when I saw a small crab tattoo (similar to the zodiac symbol, no detail) that was the size of a half dollar with the number 300 next to it. When I asked the receptionist if that meant $300, she looked at me like I was stupid and said, "uh, yeah.". Man, I was pissed! Not only did I waste time going up there to be treated like a dip shit, but they were going to screw me by having the nerve to charge that kind of money for a tattoo out of a cereal box! As we were leaving, I was ranting on and on about how crazy they were and how that place was going to shut down if they didn't offer better work for that kind of money (at the top of my lungs no less) and guess who I ended up locking eyes with as we walked past each other?? Carey Hart!! My mortified husband wondered if he heard me and all I can say is I sure as hell hope so! Don't get me wrong, I know that some places charge more than others for work based on reputation, demand, and location but at least make them nice. I would feel like an idiot paying a large amount for what equates to a stencil drawing. Have some pride in what walks out of your studio and exercise your talents with every client...these things do last forever after all! Needless to say, I blew that money on booze, gambling, and an awesome Ed Hardy belt and I am scheduling my next tattoo here at home with Scorpion Studios! A really, really big one! :)
