hey guys,
I turned 16 on the January 24th (ha yesterday) and I have been researching tattoos for alittle over a year. I'm considering getting a tattoo for my sweet 16th. And I know whats coming, you all will tell me to wait etc, I know. I'm only considering it. I've always considered myself fairly reasonable when making decisions and I was just woundering what everyone thought about a snowflake design (since I was born in the winter), right above my hip. I was also toying with a heart with torns around it design. There was also this tribal design I was looking at that I could imagine putting possibly an open star in the middle of, which would go on my lower back. A few other things I'd love to incorporate would be something that has to do with the "past, present, future" theme. Or "never lose sight of myself" in some other language. Althought all of which I'd like to be rather small and hidden.
Another thing; anyone know of any exceptional tattoo artists around the columbus/ hilliard area? I went into evolved yesterday to work with a tattoo artist to try and costomize a few of my ideas and they said the only person that will work with minors is a guy named andy.
Number two; I happen to have a skin issue called eczema, which is really dry skin. Would this effect a tattoo at all?
Number three; I've been on some tattoo idea sight where they want you to buy the design, saying that the tattoo artist will need a stencil.. Is this true?
Need some advice on a few questions =)

I would go to Stained Skin and plan on waiting until you are 18. Any of the guys at Stained Skin will draw a custom tattoo design for you. Most reputable artists are very busy with folks over 18 so they can easily say they dont do anyone under 18. For the most part, people under 18 make really poor tattoo choices so few tattoo artists will tattoo them.
I can guarantee that when you're 18, if you still even want a tattoo, your mind will have changed on these ideas. Wait until you're older. You're thinking like a typical 16 year old at this point, which there is nothing wrong with, that's what 16 year olds do, it means that you're completely normal. If you continue to be completely normal, you'll outgrow these ideas at the present and your ideas will have evolved into something totally different. Mark my words.
