new scanner stencil machines?

hey guys, what is your opinion on the new scanner stencil machines? apparently they hook up to the computer, you scan in the design and it makes the stencil, heres the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Tattoo-Stencil-FLash-Maker-Machine-Printer-New-Style_W0QQitemZ320491973510QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4a9ecf6b86 our thermofax broke and we are looking into a new machine and this one has claims that it is cheaper and higher definition, but i wanted to get opinions on it before we buy, has anyone had any experience with these?

It is simply an Old (since it is refurbished and has a parallel cable) Dot matrix printer. It has been my experience that most of these earlier models wiith parallel cables will NOT work with the newer computers even when you use a parallel to usb converter. Trust me.. Ive tried with several of these. He does not even give you the make and model of this machine so that you can go look at the specks. These are much much slower than your thermal fax since it runs like a typewriter, however it will produce halftones.
