OKLAHOMA TATTOO CONVENTION

1 message · last activity 1/10/2006

We're having Oklahoma's very first tattoo convention April 1st/2nd of this year. I'd like to invite you all. Oklahoma is the very last state in the union to completely ban tattooing. However, there are many very talented artists working here in normal, open tattoo shops which operate in full defiance of this ridiculous law. Our health standards are, on average, up to par with anyplace else. Getting tattooed here is just as safe as any other state. We're holding the convention at my tribe's big money-maker, the Cherokee Nation Casino. Due to treaty law, the state of Oklahoma has no jurisdiction there. Since there's no federal or tribal ban, we expect no opposition from federal or tribal police. In fact, the tribe is excited about this unique opportunity to exercise our right to soveriegnty as a nation. I'll be working all weekend, sharing a booth with a couple friends of mine from Ink-A-Tak tattoo in Joplin, MO. If you want to get tattooed by me, just let me know and I'll get you on the schedule. Email me at [email removed] or call me, (918)282-TATU... In short, this is gonna be fucking cool. Be there or be square. (Anybody coming from out of state needing a place to stay that weekend, let me know and I'll get you taken care of one way or another.)
