Opening up a Tattoo Shop

5 messages · last activity 5/14/2007

Ok.. I have been researching all the information I need to open up a business. I have my Occupional License forms that I need, as well as applying for Small Business Loans. I have been tattooing for about 8 years but steadily for 4 1/2 years now. Everyone says how good my work is and that I am better than the ONE artist that has a shop in our area. I am hoping my business will be a sucess. I'm trying to find out any other information that would be helpful in opening up. I'm currently looking into buying a small house to renovate into a shop instead of renting a building. Any ideas or suggestions that would help I would greatly appreciate. I will be the only artist for now, with the possibility of bringing in someone later on. My wife will be in charge of orders, payment and all the front area stuff.. Thanks alot...
Do you have a portfolio posted somewhere?
Not really a "portfolio" ... I am not really sure how to go about posting my tatts anywhere.. My wife has put a very select few so far as a slide show on my Myspace, just to show some people a little of the work I can do.
