Hi, I was just wondering if I could get some (artistic) input. I currently have this tattoo on my right upper back: http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f109/ks1911shooter/Miscellaneous/mycroctat2.jpg If I got something that has a "darker" theme to it, and one that is significantly larger on the other side of my back (left shoulderblade), would it clash with what is on the other side of my back? And if not, would it be better to keep the 2nd piece in color instead of black and gray? I'm still on the fence between getting a 1/4 sleeve, or putting it on the other side of my back. I do like black and gray, but would consider color if necessary to keep things consistent. Thanks in advance!
See, these are exactly the kinds of little tattoos that we try to talk people out of because of just such a problem. Not that this tattoo is bad at all, its well done, good lines, good color. But what the hell do ya do when ya wanna add more work on the other side of it? There are just so many things you could do. Cover it, add to it to match what you are getting on the other side, get something on the other side to match it, etc etc etc.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, years ago, I never thought I would get more tats. I still don't regret that one, as it does have personal meaning for me. But I agree that I should've considered the possibility that I would want more in the future. That's partly why I was leaning towards the 1/4 sleeve. That way, it's not on the same viewable plane as what I have now, so it wouldn't really clash.
