ok, i'm into day 5 of my healing and the skin is beginning to peel a little...when i worked in the lotion this morning, i noticed that flakes of skin (which were too thin to be scabs) were coming loose and they were black (my tat is all black)...this is worrying me a little...am i watching the ink come out of my tattoo? is it merely a top layer of skin with ink residue, and nothing to worry about?

Nothing to worry about Mike. Completely normal. Sounds like you are right on healing schedual. A couple more days and you'll be all good!....J
